Will Spend the Night at MGH

            David still is coughing occasionally, but has mostly stabilized. Given the choice to return home this evening or tomorrow morning, he decided to be admitted for the night. He’ll be on the 20^th floor of the Phillips Building at MGH.

            Best guess on the source of the blood he coughs up may be the pneumonia in the upper right lung, irritated by the coughing. An x-ray does not show any large white area which would indicate a large bleed.

            He has an appointment tomorrow to see a hospice admissions nurse. He is still undecided about whether to start hospice at this point.
